Perugia guided visit
City of Etruscan origin rich in art and culture with a history which dates back to truly ancient times, Perugia was strong enough to contrast the expansion for Rome for considerable time. Having lost the Battle of Trasimeno against Hannibal (217 B.C), it was rebuilt by the Emperor Augustus who gave it the name of Augusta Perusia. Today, Perugia is a buzzing and dynamic city in which numerous monuments and historic buildings are perfectly conserved. Amidst the elegant town houses and museums of the historic center we find the Palazzo dei Priori built in the 14th century by Giacomo Servadio and Giovanello di Benvenuto. The Rocca Paolina, designed by Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane, is visited via a series of suspended pathways, built so as to protect the ancient site. Not to be missed: the Etruscan Arch dating back to the 2nd century B.C.
Umbria Jazz

Held each year during the month of July, the Umbria Jazz Festival transforms the historic center of Perugia in the stage for ten whole days of concerts and reviews, attended by both world famous jazz musicians and a host of emerging talents from Italy, Europe, the United States and beyond.

EuroChocolate

In just a few years since the first edition, Eurochocolate has become one of Perugia’s most successful events, attracting chocolate lovers from all over Europe. For nine whole days the capital of Umbria is filled with the scents and taste of chocolate, produced in every possible size and form.
